This campaign was ignited by the Ferguson Unrest in the shooting death of unarmed teenager Mike Brown by Officer Darren Wilson. The youth of Ferguson and St. Louis are looking for outlets in which they can express themselves and not be judged by another. In addition they want their voices to be heard.

Jewels, Inc., #SendInTheTroops Million Mentors March, is an event that will unify all mentors across the nation. Marching on the same day for one reason, to take a stand for our youth and let them know we care! Grab your Mentee, your Send In The Troops Shirt and prepare to March with us SUMMER 2015. This seasonal event allows for Mentors to spend a one day session speaking to the various Site Partners of Jewels, Inc., throughout the Ferguson and St. Louis Area. Full of fun, "real talk" conversations, motivational speaking and speed mentoring. Students will leave inspired and ready to give there all in all that they do!
